Our Roadmap till 2025

Neben unserer wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung und der Qualität unserer Dienstleistungen werden wir immer auch ein Auge auf unsere Auswirkungen auf die Umwelt und unsere soziale Verantwortung haben. Deshalb haben wir im Jahr 2022 eine erste Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie der Berlinerei entwickelt. Die Maßnahmen, um diese Ziele bis 2025 zu erreichen werden in den Folgejahren laufend implementiert, pro Geschäftsjahr validiert und vor allem einer jährlichen Überprüfung des Status Quo unterzogen. Aber 2025 ist nicht Schluss. In diesem Jahr wird analysiert, optimiert und ein neuer Prozess gestartet. Wir wissen, dass der Weg zu einem nachhaltigen Unternehmen ein weiter und herausfordernder ist. Diese Herausforderung nehmen wir gerne an!

The fields of action

The three dimensions of sustainability - economic, ecological and social - provide the framework for our fields of action. We threw these dimensions into a pot with our values and gave them a good shake. You can read about the results a little further down on this page.

The Stakeholder

We have analyzed and subsequently identified. We have defined our key stakeholders in this way.

  • internal stakeholders such as employees, management and shareholders
  • customers, partners and service providers
  • society and public
  • authorities and politics

All diese Stakeholder binden wir auf den unterschiedlichen Kanälen in unsere Kommunikation ein und führen einen regelmäßigen Dialog mit ihnen. Dieser Austausch ist eines der wichtigsten Instrumente, um auf der einen Seite die Interessen der einzelnen besser zu verstehen und andererseits uns ständig weiterzuentwickeln und zu verbessern.

Market & Events

Das Handlungsfeld Market & Events ist maßgeblich geprägt von zwei Punkten:
1. Wirtschaftlichkeitn und 2. Governance & Compliance. Unsere entwickelte Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie hat einen großen Einfluss auf die Wirtschaftlichkeit. Durch Nachhaltigkeit soll längerfristig die Ertragskraft gestärkt werden. Es geht uns allerdings auch darum, einen Beitrag für die Umwelt und Gesellschaft zu leisten und in weiterer Folge auch unabhängig von Saisonen oder unvorhergesehenen Risiken zu sein.

Our goal is to take an alternative path of growth through diversification - we can achieve this, for example, by reusing event decorations or superstructures. To address the issue of Governance & Compliance, we are developing a Code of Conduct in 2023. This will be a set of rules that defines the principles and values of our agency and, in parallel, forms a framework for action within which we operate.

People & Culture

In the People & Culture field of action, there are alsotwo directions in which we have to look. On the one hand, there are the employees and, on the other, the customers. Both directions only work through the dialogue that is conducted. In this way, we get to know our customers' needs better, and our employees' strengths. In this way, both sides can continuously improve - we, because we get to know our customers better, and our employees, because we can send them on targeted training courses.

We have therefore firmly established that we create a development plan for each employee. Based on this plan, we can create a strengths/weaknesses profile together with the individuals and act on the basis of this profile. A feedback tool is being developed for our customers, which we will use to drive forward our continuous improvement and thereby reduce our complaint rate.
A third key point in the People & Culture field of action is the topic area of diversity, equality & inclusion. Berlinerei stands for diversity, and as part of our corporate culture, we will champion this issue and take a very clear stance in society. Signing the Diversity Charter is just the beginning - further measures will be taken with regard to diversity, equality and inclusion.

Environment & Climate

We are committed to protecting the climate. Of course we assume an ecological responsibility towards the planet and society. Every future generation has the right to live on this planet under the same conditions. Avoid - reduce - compensate. This is what our strategy will look like. To this end, we will calculate and publish our agency's CO2 footprint and successively reduce it. Another important point in the field of action Environment & Climate is the topic of waste. In 2023, we will develop a waste avoidance concept under the umbrella of circular economy. Recycling and reuse will be documented and a reduction in waste achieved step by step.

With our services, we not only make people happy, but from now on we also help shape the future. For us, shaping the future means taking responsibility and acting sustainably. As a creative agency, we see ourselves as an actor and multiplier. We bear responsibility towards the environment and society, and we take this seriously. We make our contribution with deeds, not with speeches. That's why we have set ourselves ambitious goals that underscore our stance and correspond to our key sustainability issues. In doing so, we strike a balance between economic, environmental and social responsibility - for our internal and external stakeholders. For us, sustainability is not just lip service, but a continuous process.
